Extract Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract is a natural extract from algae found along the French coast. It is rich in fucoidans, which have both preventative and repairing properties. The extract uniquely decreases the presence of senescent cells, often referred to as zombie cells, which develop due to aging and oxidative stress. These cells are no longer functioning properly and have entered an inactive state, where they release signaling molecules that cause surrounding cells to become zombie cells. By ‘awakening,’ these inactive cells, the extract helps restore the skin’s natural activity and maintain a youthful and vital appearance. Zombie cells that cannot be reawakened are instead sorted out and eliminated.
